YangPhilip you were amazing!

Attended Seob's final two shows for Robin Hood yesterday and it was a blast! I have to write something about it or I'll forget it TT My first time watching a musical and probably the last time I'll ever get to see him perform on in a musical so it was worth it even though it was quite pricey..no regrets though!

There were some lovely kb2uties giving out cute stickers and notebooks before the show and I managed to experience my first ever fanevent there. Kfans are pretty orderly when it comes to things like this, everyone lines up nicely to collect their gift, except of course when the gifts are limited, then they literally go wild. I myself was no angel , pushing and squeezing with the throng, but I got my sticker in the end and I'm happy.

We get to take pictures with the posters/standees of the musical cast before going in. I went by myself so there was no one to take photos for me, sob but I enlisted the help of some nice b2uties who took them for me. The pictures didn't turn out that nice but whatever I have a pic with YangPhilip's poster and that's good enough for me haha

The show was really really good, the actors and actresses have such amazing voices, that I was literally transfixed by the sound. Robin, Gilbert and Marian were some of the best, but my darling Philip stole the show for sure. The character he plays is a bubbly bratty crown prince who doesn't want to be king until they kill his father and he matures somehow. It was so cute, because his real life personality is humorous like that too and the other cast love him so it made for some really great chemistry. (Robin and Gregory pats him on the head, so adorable!!! ahhhhh)

AND HIS VOICE...HOW DO I DESCRIBE HIS VOICE....OMG...ARE YOU REALLY AN IDOL SINGER...when he grows old and can't dance so energetically anymore, he can just join the stage, he fits perfectly there that you wouldn't think he sings kpop for a living hahaha. He was so good, singing two shows consecutively in the same night and he still pulled it off amazing.

Let me just write down what I remember from each scene with him for my future reference lest I forget hahaha

First scene is the one where he did the I don't want to be a prince song. The live one and the recorded one was so similar, baby ate the CD!!

Then he meets Joy in the bar and he keeps saying that he's a prince and no one believes him hahahaha, and then Joy brings him out to the city square and they do this medieval tapdance/jig that was so entertaining to watch. Seob, so you can tapdance well too, LOL, one more of your many talents. Next, he meets Robin and gets punched by him and then Robin screams at him and he screams back, oh wow that was amazing, so so bratty xPPPP Robin tries to hit him but doesn't dare, and Seob just take a step back like a petulant little boy, Robin tries again, and Seob steps back again and that scene was just so adorable I CANNOT

Robin tells him of the current situation where Prince John wants to steal the throne, they sing some grand song and Seob just sits there looking pensive and adorable and then he decides to join Robin to stop the coronation of Prince John and be the rightful heir of the throne.

Then, they find out that King Richard is still alive and locked in prison. Phillip, Joy and Little John have an amazing break-in into the jail but they are betrayed by one of the Merry Men and captured. Meanwhile, King Richard dies in Phillip's arms and he has a sobfest hugging his dad's body, and he takes off his jacket (woot woot) to cover the body. Seob's just wearing this billowy medieval white shirt and breeches right and looking fabulous hahaha. Next, Gilbert and Prince John comes in and drags Seob away to be hanged. and wow this scene, Seob's really sacrificing his body for this, cz he literally gets thrown everywhere on stage, dragged on the floor and hits the ground hard many times. Definitely will have bruises by the end of the night. One of the guards threw him too hard for real and I think he's really falling down cz I could hear the bump and even the guard was stunned for a moment LOL but Seob being the professional that he is just gets up and sings like nothing has happened

They drag him to the hangman's noose and put the rope round his neck and he sings a song of revenge and cries at the end. And then Robin rescues everyone at the last minute and they run to stop the coronation. Joy is supposedly killed in the escape trying to save Phillip and there is more sobfest over the fallen Joy by dear Phillip who cries a lot in this musical. (BUT STILL LOOKS HOT AND ADORABLE WHILE CRYING...WHYYYYYY)  There's this amazing swordfight between Robin and Gilbert and then Robin kills Gilbert. Marian runs away to become a nun and Phillip just picks up the crown. His coronation isn't shown but I assume he becomes king, I couldn't understand the narration.

Robin and Phillip return from hunting and reach a nunnery. Robin requests for water from a nun who is none other than Marian who tries to poison him but fails. OMG THIS PART, Gilbert introduces Phillip to Marian as BEAST's XXX (cute ad lib xP) but before he can say Seob's real name, Phillip stops him hahahaha. Phillip wants to kill her but Robin spares her life and she runs away. Robin is supposedly dying and Phillip mourns him again (and cries again hahaha) then Robin miraculously wakes up and says I'm not dying why are you crying LOL

Then they have another grand song with all the Merry Men and Phillip sings that he will be a good king which gets him hit once more by Robin, telling him that he isn't a good king unless he reduces taxes LOL They sing one more grand song and it ends

The curtain call was fantastic. Most of the audience were there for Seob, he got the loudest cheer and pterodactyl screams and whoops. I definitely contributed to some of the whooping and cheering and went all out fangirl mode but I'm proud of it I don't care TT He didn't cry though for the last show but I'm still so so so proud of him and I'm glad I came.

We were all waiting for him to come down after the show but he didn't. I'm a tiny bit disappointed but at least I met Prince John, Gilbert and Gregory and they all signed my programme book!!!!! omg 2nd celeb fansigning in my life. haha though they are only musical actors. Took selcas with Gilbert and Gregory too. Gilbert was sooooo freaking cute too!!!!!!! They are really different people onstage and in real life, I'm so impressed.

And I can say I experienced the korean fan crush while trying to get my book signed, it's crazy yet orderly. Some kfans are really nice, one girl helped to bring my book to the front after she got hers signed and they were all really surprised that foreigner me came to watch the show. Prince John was very confused hahaha

All in all, a fantastic experience and I'll always treasure this memory in Seoul. Didn't get to meet Seob in person but hopefully sometime in these 4 months, I'll get a sighting of him?? Who knows, I can only hope.

5 years and counting...Seobie-ah you are still the number one celeb in my heart (love love love) Dylan and Doo can't take that place yet even though they're fighting really hard xP
